Review of Hard Eight (1997) by Jacob C — 29 Mar 2009
Paul Thoms Anderson's first feature. Dialogue driven film with some great performances and scenes. Another movie that drives me crazy because John C. Reilly has become Will Ferrell's side kick instead of doing more films like this.
And it was nice to see Samuel L. Jackson before he spent all his time shouting his lines. He also has my favorite scene in the movie when we first meet his character and he describes standing around a craps table.
