Review of Hard Eight (1997) by Aaron P — 06 Apr 2009
The first film from director Paul Thomas Anderson is nothing short of spectacular, featuring blistering dialogue and intercut with sporadic moments of brutal violence. John C. Reilly and Phillip Baker Hall are off the hook in this film but one of my favourite scenes has to be Phillip Seymour Hoffman's gambler cameo in the casino.
An excellent film, highly recommended.
