Review of Hard Eight (1997) by Brian B — 16 Jul 2009

I liked the novelty of this movie. Imagine, a world weary Vegas old timer who is actually a nice guy. A very nice guy, in fact, who feels such a need to share his worldly wisdom with a bum he meets outside of a restaurant and a hooker/waitress who doesn't seem to have a lot going for her, but doesn't really seem to have much ambition anyway.

There isn't much of a plot to this one, but that's ok, it's a good character study with neat little nuggets on how to get free stuff from the casino's.
