Review of Hard Eight (1997) by Ryan T — 28 Feb 2010
Its plot is somewhat simply, but the thought put into portraying the story was great. it, like most realistic movies, follows the unexpected course of life and that real crappy things can happen at times you don't want them to.
there is also a reasonable amount of symbolism in this film, which is definitely something to be looked into, the only mystery for me is the symbolism behind Hard Eight and why Philip Baker Hall could never win and yet Samuel Jackson did.
