Paul Thomas Anderson's indie debut is a small character-driven masterpiece that unfolds slowly but hypnotically, drawing you into its character's strange world and keeping you wondering what will happen next.
Phillip Baker Hall plays one of the most fascinating and memorable characters I've ever seen in a film. Long live PTA!
