Highly intense and deeply disturbing, Hard Candy is absolutely fascinating. These are not people you'd ever want to meet in reality, but Ellen Page and Patrick Wilson give stellar performances with a script that makes two people who by any measure are borderline psychotic, completely human and even somewhat sympathetic.
