Review of Harakiri (1962) by Matthew R — 03 Jun 2007
Impressively told story that grips you from the beginning and reveals its secrets with excruciatingly slow pacing that builds suspense well. This film challenges authority at its bases, at its roots, and makes Kobayashi a director I look forward to seeing more of.
