If you love samurai films you will probably enjoy this movie.
Perhaps not the best introduction to the genre because it, like many of its counterparts, can be a bit slow at times. However the true strength (in my opinion) of the samurai films of the 50's and 60's is their wonderful photography, and on this level Harakiri definitely does not disappoint.
