Review of Happythankyoumoreplease (2011) by Rainer K — 02 Dec 2011
"You write short stories and it seems you like living short stories...".
Josh Radnor, you maybe know him as Ted from How I Met Your Mother, wrote, directed and starred in this Indie film.
I always liked his character in the series as well as him as an actor and so I guessed it could be worth a watch.
The result is impressive. Radnor is kind of a good writer - surprisingly?!? The script is witty, heartwarming, engaging and refreshing in a way that it doesn't care about quite a few genre conventions.
I also like the characters (especially Radnor's Sam - so lost, so nice and looks so heartbroken) and that doesn't happen too often. Moreover, Kate Mara - Radnor's female interest is hot.
Makes we definitely want to see more of Radnor. Let's hope he doesn't take the Zach-Braff-Road - into obscurity.
