Review of Happy, Texas (1999) by Chloe . — 01 Apr 2008
For what it looks like - an escapee comedy - its quite a suprise.
On the run and just stolen a winebago 2 convicts assume the identity of two gay beauty pagent holders.
While this movie is definitly funny, the performances steal the show and at times I felt extremely sad for the sherif.
Wiliam H Macy did a brilliant job portraying the sherif, I thought it was very cool how he seemed very laid back but his words and unwavering stare really did make you think twice about crossing him.
Im glad it didn't end in a fashion of 'national security' or 'blue streak' where the police just let the guy walk because they liked him.
Very funny while still keeping a sence of reality.
