Review of Happy-Go-Lucky (2008) by Ian F — 28 Aug 2009

Why does only 66% of users like this movie? It was wonderful! So it didn't have much of a plot and it takes a scene or two to get going? It's a wonderful romp showing the antidotes of an extreamly cheerful woman's life- and I just loved it! It was a pleasure to watch! So many memorable lines and characters! And Sally Hawkins was mesmerizing as Poppy! I loved her; she deserved her Golden Globe win so much and was robbed of an Oscar nomination.

But totally deserving of the Original Screenplay nomination. As well, the supporting cast are perfect choices! The music is an odd but perfect fit to this uplifiting film and I think it deserves every accalaide it gets! Very funny and a personality we should all aim to follow! SEE IT!!! One of the best films of the year!
