Review of Happy-Go-Lucky (2008) by Colleen S — 24 Apr 2009
Was yelling at the screen for the entire first 10 minutes - you'd think that Poppy was plain annoying and attention-seeking. Then you realised she was encouraging people to be happy and look at things positively in a subtle way. Poppy might be depressingly cheerful and annoyingly merry but before you know you've already fallen in love with her. Not a big fan of the ending, though.
Overall, a heart-warming tale in the times of depression. Even though it didn't live up to my expectations, it lingered for long after it's ended. Would recommend.
