Review of Happy-Go-Lucky (2008) by Luca V — 22 May 2009
Let me say, Sally Hawkins is dressed like a gipsy. Ok she s to be colored because she works with kids. Sheâ??s got many friends, and eventually a boyfriend, who works more or less in the same social domain. And she has another person who felt in love with her (an encouragement for the funny women, donâ??t worry if you are a dog, someone will fall in love with you all the sameâ?¦ just need to talk much and often smile), this other person is a neurotic, psychotic a driving school teacher, fanatical of the bible. Poppy, this is the name of the main character, the happy that goes lucky, has shared a flat with another teacher, she has two sisters, one is a stud, the other is waiting a baby. They are typical English characters, notorious for their hyper-controlled emotions that often go to pieces.
Poppy is the only one who can cope in the â??mare magnumâ?? of the Men and women on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Even her flamenco teacher has a nervous breakdown. Because flamenco is pain that turns into strength.
