Review of Happy-Go-Lucky (2008) by Timothy S — 08 Jul 2009

Joyous, touching, light-hearted, disjointed (in a good way), and thoroughly engrossing. What a treat to watch! My only grievance is that I wanted to stay with the characters for even longer. Sally Hawkins's performance is one of many fantastic lead performances by females in 2008.

It's a shame that her performance didn't get quite the amount of attention it deserved. Indeed, I wouldn't have caught it had it not been for a recommendation from a fellow cinephile.
