Though a comedy, this is not a "feel-good" comedy. I suspect the name was chosen to be ironic :-) The main character seems to be there simply to connect us to the more interesting characters and events.
It seems uneven at times, but this movie connects us to the feelings, issues and interests of British 20-30-somethings effectively.
