Review of Happy-Go-Lucky (2008) by Sarah G — 01 Feb 2010
Great script, great dialogue, great performances. Hawkins and Marsan are both wonderful in this film. Two things took away from what could have been a truly brilliant film: the child abuse that was treated a little too much like a plot device and not enough like the serious issue it is and the rather long scene with Poppy and the homeless man that really did not fit in with the rest of the film.
Other than that though, it was thoroughly enjoyable.
