Review of Happy-Go-Lucky (2008) by Simone V — 04 May 2010

I'd heard good things about Happy-Go-Lucky and was disappointed to find it a story about sarcastic goofy characters rather than an actual comedy. It lacks the dry wit that many British comedies seem to possess as well as a fluffy serendipitous story that so many American comedies follow, leaving the film closely resembling a stiff dramedy with seemingly no real beginning or end, The best part of this movie is its cast, in particular Sally Hawkins performance was most well done.
