Review of Happy-Go-Lucky (2008) by Dr. A — 14 May 2010
This went surprisingly above what I expected, even if Poppy got on my nerves at times I found the character very realistic and spot-on. It might come across as a common film, but it dives into the issues and little things that make us who we are, what drives us and makes us ponder on the people surrounding us who take a gigantic role in the task of making us who we are and will be in the future... it's about the choices we take, and we must make choices in life, better pray for it to be a good one. This movie I would really watch again.
It's amazing that this came from the director who did Vera Drake... what a great filmmaker.
