Review of Happy-Go-Lucky (2008) by Edgar C — 13 Nov 2011

I enjoyed this film in general, more as an example of incredible character development than following a complex plotline. I understand why viewers were divided over whether they actually found Poppy likeable.

For the most part, I found the character sympathetic, but then again it could be grating/wearing to encounter a person who truly never stops talking or joking around, especially when the jokes can fall flat.

However, even in her ditzy moments, you can usually see that her heart is in the right place...
