Review of Happy-Go-Lucky (2008) by Edgarm — 25 Mar 2009
Sally Hawkins saves this film from a 1 - though her character is tendentious and patently desperate in the way she approaches people. Poppy is that awful person we all know who thinks she is just too too clever and should just shut up and ask her mum where she went wrong.
And the contrived romance with the smarmy social worker is the last straw.
