Review of Happy Gilmore (1996) by Steven S — 22 Aug 2012
4 out of 5 stars.
Definitely one of my favorite Adam Sandler movies. That fight with Bob Barker is just classic, how could anyone not find that funny? It's not the best comedy I have ever seen, but it still proves itself among worthy worthy of the film category.
Adam Sandler, he has had his ups and his downs before in life, but for him this is one of his ups. He did a fantastic job portraying as Happy Gilmore with his anger managing problems and fist fights that he got into. Also, I have to admit that the guy who played Shooter McGavin( Christopher McDonald) was a real asswhole in the movie, but he was good at being one.
Even though Dennis Dugan is usally bad a directing films, I have to admit he was not bad with this film. I mean directing is one of the most inportant things for making a good movie, because without it you mind as well call it crap.
I liked most of the characters, but mainly Happy Gilmore of course. Another character I liked was Ben Stiller's character as the guy who ran the nursing home. He was a real dick, but you can't help but laugh.
Overall, it's funny and recomended to eveyone who loves comedys.
