Happy Gilmore is a clasic example of an underdog comedy that works.
Adam Sandler stars as Happy Gilmore, a wannabe hockey player without any talent at it. His serious anger management issues don't help his situation of failure when being picked for the hockey team squads. One morning though, his golfing talent is discovered when he is able to unleash a shot from around 400 yards and hit a house.
