You either get it or you don't. I get it. It's a marmite film, hence its relatively neautral rating. The humour is odd, the plott is whacky and the dialogue is downright surreal, but it can set up a warm home within your heart.

It's like if Napoleon Dynamite actually had a story and some jokes in it. The story itself is actually pretty good as Sandler's films go, about an out of work hockey player who discovers he has the longest drive in golfing history and gets press-ganged into taking part in an open tournament in an attempt to raise the money to get his Grandma's repossessed house back.

What happens along the way can either be called dynamite or turd, it's where your sense of humour lies. I happen to love it, but I'd recommend it more to the younger viewers, fans of Sandler's films, as well as people who enjoyed such surreal romps such as Step Brothers, Superbad and Pineapple Express.

Perhaps not one for the more distinguished viewer, but definitely one to watch with the guys and a few beers.
