Review of Happy Feet Two (2011) by Jose M — 19 Aug 2012
Penguins, krill, sea lions, elephant seals, and Robin Williams trapped in the non-plot of Happy Feet 2? I would say this is in need of extinction. Unlike the first one, this film is rather without a plot with a sinking touch on the destruction of the environment and ecosystem.
There are a lot of cameos, but none of them are able to save the film from extinction. There is not really an adorable scene or anything cute about it, only future slippers and warm and fuzzy mittens.
The singing, dancing, and rhythm are headache inducing as you yell not another song. There was a funny scene involving humans eating chicken, but that is about it. The subplot between the two krill male lovers comes off as cynical.
Happy Feet 2 is a clearly an unhappy feat.
