Review of Happy Feet (2006) by Donny M — 16 Dec 2012
I have to say throughout the movie at some points I just wanted it to be over! It was too long and boring in some parts but for the most part it was pretty good. When I first heard about this movie, it sounded stupid.
The trailers for the movie made it look bad at first. After I watched it, I realized that the trailers had almost nothing to do with the trailers. The trailers showed it as a movie where penguins sang and danced with all they're penguin friends, when the movie was about this penguin who is born different and instead of being able to sing with all his penguin friends, he can only dance.
So he's an outcast and all this stuff. Totally different from what I thought it would be. The ending kind of needed work too. It wasn't very good. Only a little. The voices seemed fine. Nothing really bad about that.
Everyone had fine voices, speaking and singing. No acting really in this movie either. The only problem was with the middle of the movie parts. Some parts where the main penguin had to go do things and chase after people, it seemed that the movie could end there.
That the movie SHOULD end there. Too boring. Too time consuming for one scene or section. In some parts, they just put too much in for it to be good and not boring. It is a great family movie however.
As I have pointed out its bad points, that's only from a teenagers point of view. For people/kids around 10 and under along with parents, should really enjoy this movie.
