Review of Happy Death Day (2017) by Tracy F — 16 Nov 2017
Really enjoyed this one, even though I didn't think I would. This kind of plot really requires you to suspend disbelief and just go with the idea that for some reason, the protagonist is caught in a time loop--and in what universe is this believable? That aside, there were some very comic moments in this film that had me laughing out loud, and the death scenes were satisfyingly disgusting.
Once or twice I even closed my eyes... The "Tree" character was really well done and the twist at the end revived my feeling of letdown regarding the first unmasking of her "killer.".
