Happy Christmas is another great film from Joe Swanberg. The only movie I saw from him other than this, is Drinking Buddies which is also a great film. Happy Christmas has good acting, good drama, and it does keep me interested.

While the plot is not as big as Drinking Buddies nor is its setting big too, but even though it's another story of real life problems, it's realistically and effectively done well. While it has an abrupt ending which some people might say that it's less than satisfying, but that's how life is, there's barely any happy ending or an evil ending,just a normal ending.

Some viewers would get bored of it as Happy Christmas is a slow paced film, but it is funny which makes it more interesting. Hopefully Joe Swanberg makes a film that is in wide theaters because it could make him more than just an indie director and more noticeable by viewers.
