Review of Happy Christmas (2014) by Andrew B — 23 Jul 2014
A creative, real-to-life film that left me marveling at how... authentic the dialogue and characters were. Anna scratches her face, she moves things on the couch, and even says things like, "um...
" Tiny details that are usually avoided and a soft camera makes it feel like we're a voyeur. The character development is also realistic, if minimal. Particularly well-done are the two long-shots the film boasts complete with realistic improvised dialogue.
