Review of Happy Birthday to Me (1981) by Seth P — 19 Dec 2009
This movie was way too long considering the plot of the film. It elaborates too much on things that are not relevant (she is recovering from brain trauma, her head is messed up, how it happened, blah blah blah.
.. who gives a shit). The continuity is a joke, there are so many flubs in this movie it almost seems intentional. The story follows the same outline of the 'and then there were none' outlook, the characters are gradually Whittled down as the rest are helpless on lookers that are oblivious to the obvious murders and the potential harm they are in.
.. Some parts are interesting (the atmosphere, the murders, the music, and the majority of the dialogue is good)... but the film lagged when it came around to presenting the story in an enjoyable manor.
Wow, a non twist ending, that totally caught me off guard.
