Review of Happy Birthday to Me (1981) by Ardeth B — 21 Jan 2009
I wish they had kept the old movie cover for the dvd.
One of the most original horror films of it's era, mixing psychosis with gore to help create the foundations for slasher films to follow.
This movie has a strong hold on me and my friends as it was the first horror film we saw as kids. Bending what is truth and reality into a nightmare of rage, Happy Birthday To Me is a good example of good plot lines and not being afraid to try something different.
