Review of Happy Birthday to Me (1981) by Lisa S — 11 Aug 2010
Happy Birthday to Me is a suprising highpoint in the slew of early 80s slasher flicks. Innovative death scenes, actual character development, and a circuitously twisting plot all mix together with the general cheesy clasher fun to create a delightful little film for fans of the genre.
And it manages to be genuinely twisted and brutal in parts, which is always a plus.
