Review of Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (2013) by Paul H — 09 Sep 2013
I believe that this film is vastly underrated. It definitely was not without its problems and yes it came out during a period with a bunch of other modern hyper violent fairy tales. But it was executed well and a great action comedy.
Also what isn't talked about is that this a film with a empowered female superhero who isn't half naked and not constantly saying she is an independent woman. Independent women don't need to say they are so if it is clear (in movies).
She is never truly saved by a man because she doesn't need it. True equality is seen in this film. Critics can suck it.
