Review of Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (2013) by Jessica B — 14 Aug 2014
The number one complaint I've heard about this movie is that the witches look too much like witches. That they don't even try to look like regular people. To that I say, 'You do realized that this was all taken from fairy tales and in those stories the witches looked like stereotypical witches?' It may have bothered some, but it didn't bother me.
Lots of fire in this movie, so it's good for those pyromaniacs. And okay, everyone else in the movie besides Hansel and Gretel talks, acts, and looks like they should for the time period. Hansel and Gretel do not.
And it is absolutely hilarious. I don't know if it was intentioned to be funny (probably not) but every time one of them talked I had to giggle. I really only watched this because of Jeremy Renner (eye candy and fun).
And yes it's because of his role in the Avengers, so sue me. It's a bad movie, but it's the kind that it's so bad it's good type. At least I had fun.
