Review of Hannibal Rising (2007) by Luc L — 10 Oct 2010
A bit of a mess. Hollywood seem obsessed with telling back stories now! The audience's love for a bad man character seems to shame them into producing stories that allow us to see that these great characters of evil were not always bad people but society or situations changed them and made them into evil men such as; Darth Vader, Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger and of coarse Hannibal Lecter.
This movie looks great and is often breath taking at how beautiful a lot of the locations and cinematography are. The cast is fantastic, with the exception of Gaspard Ulliel, but the script and story are worthless. Nobody needed this movie to be made and it will not do anyone any favors to put it on there IMDB, except the Cinematographer.
