Review of Hannibal (2001) by Michael S — 31 Jan 2014
On it's own merits, HANNIBAL is a decent film. It's a mostly intriguing manhunt, revenge, reunion flick. As a sequel to SILENCE OF THE LAMBS, it fails. However, if you go in, not expecting strong ties to the original (or even a similar feel --- its all very different here), you'll have a decent time.
Gorgeously shot, elegant in tone, and gruesome in nature, HANNIBAL can be exciting and engrossing.
