Review of Hannibal (2001) by Ryan C — 30 Jun 2014
Reading the book made me appreciate this film a little more, but the exclusion of some characters, notably Jack Crawford and Margot Verger, is disappointing. I don't particularly like the ending to the book or the film, though I'm not sure how I'd prefer this to have played out.
Julianne Moore is a decent replacement for the superior Jodie Foster, and Anthony Hopkins still charms and scares. Gary Oldman is disgusting, entertaining, and unrecognizable.
