Review of Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009) by Zara R — 26 Jul 2010
This movie doesn't deserve all the bad press it gets. It was OKAY, I mean we don't have an Academy Award winning performance from ANYONE, but it's a KID'S MOVIE. It was CUTE, it wasn't looking to be anything else.
People should stop panning it because it wasn't looking to be anything but just a fun, campy, kids movie. In being a fun, campy, kids movie, it does extremely well. It's fast paced and although the dialogue is rather cheap, it is funny to younger audiences who don't know the difference.
We have an occasional upbeat song to keep their attention & colorful fashions. We even have (Surprise) a lesson that being famous is not always necessarily better. So stop panning it because you're not a 12 year old girl & don't actually enjoy it.
It's good for what it's trying to be.
