Review of Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009) by Robert I — 22 Jan 2013
My life has reached a new low. The film is derivative of so many Big City Girl comes to the Country films. The villain is an old paparazzi man stalking Hannah (ew). And I was most disappointed that Al Gough and Miles Millar produced this film -- But now I see why.
Girl with a superstar alternate identity, country roots... This is the story of Superman! And so many scenes that follow feel lifted right out of the Man of Steel's playbook. Still, the film works.
And even I have to admit Billy Ray is actually pretty good as the real heart of the film. And scenes involving Miley's dead mother (Like I said, SUPERMAN) kinda keep the film from being complete fluff.
So all you fathers out there who have to sit through this film... I no longer feel sorry for you. Tough it out, wanker!
