Review of Hannah and Her Sisters (1986) by Chris P — 12 Mar 2008
One of Woody's best; funny, warm, life-affirming in all the best ways. This script tackles more situations and themes than you'd think a romantic comedy could handle, but he handles it with grace, subtlety, and the sure hand of a master.
Mickey, the Allen character in the film, needed to see the Marx brothers to remind him why life is worth living. Well, yeah, that would work. But so would any of these wonderful Woody Allen pictures. You are a god among men, sir.
