Review of Hannah and Her Sisters (1986) by João C — 26 Jun 2012
I was disappointed with this movie. Knowing that it was nominated for a Best Picture Oscar and it was made in Allen's greatest period, I was expecting a better movie. Sure, it has an interesting story, approached with wit and expertise, but it's never as engaging or funny as it should be, it didn't hook me as I thought it would.
The second half is what saved it for me, especially the scene when Holly ends the relationship with Frederick. Speaking of which, the acting was top notch.
