Insightful, wise (in a naturalistic sense) and downright beautiful come the end.

Oddly, I usually empathize most with very minor characters who don't get much screen time in Woody Allen films. This time it was Frederick, the supremely logical artist who gets shafted by people who can't control their sexual urges. I guess it shows what ol' Woody thinks of people like me.

Frederick: "You missed a very dull TV show on Auschwitz. More gruesome film clips, and more puzzled intellectuals declaring their mystification over the systematic murder of millions. The reason they can never answer the question 'How could it possibly happen?' is that it's the wrong question. Given what people are, the question is 'Why doesn't it happen more often?'".
