This film is both heartbreaking and funny. Great performances especially from Michael Caine, Barbara Hershey, and Dianne Wiest. Woody Allen can create very flawed characters, regardless of gender, and make them seem genuine, not caricatures.
The relationship stuff is spot on, with plenty of errors in judgment, which love seems to inspire. In some ways feels like a more mature film from Allen, though nothing can top "Manhattan" for me.
