Review of Hanna (2011) by Graham W — 18 Mar 2012
How the heck do you pronounce 'Saorise'? Anyway, Hanna (the character) kicks serious butt, ensuring her place alongside Buffy, Lara Croft/Salt & Hit Girl. The film doesn't quite tell you everything you need to know, or when it does fill in some of the gaps it does so subtly, almost in a throwaway manner.
Perhaps I want my exposition in big neon letters. Whatever. The Chemical Brothers soundtrack is also bangin', though perhaps too incongruous on occasion, but it does amp up the excitement levels. The film ends in a way where a sequel could be possible, and I'd more than likely watch that too.
