Review of Hanna (2011) by David F — 05 Jun 2012
I had earlier rated this at 4 stars but after seeing it again for the second time I had to give it another star. Seeing the film again refreshed my memory of just how well this movie was done. Saoirse Ronan plays the part of Hanna so believably, I am completely convinced that she has never seen a light before the scene with the man at the inn who lends her a room for the night. Hanna is in so many ways robbed of her innocence due to her circumstances and as a viewer I was left feeling compassion for her character.
I can only imagine how much training she did for this character and how devoted of an actor/actress one has to be to play such a part. Bravo and huge props to Saoirse Ronan, I really love her performance in this film, truly excellent acting. I hope we will get to see more of her expertise in future films.
I really enjoyed all the parts played in this film. There really were no weak characters and I really enjoyed the soundtrack. The soundtrack was very creative and had impressive authentic music from different cultures as well as creative original music to fit the momentum of specific scenes.
If you enjoy good spy thriller movies you won't be disappointed with Hanna.
