Review of Hanna (2011) by Srikanth M — 02 Aug 2012
Deeply haunting revenge thriller that has a striking European cinema grungy appeal. Underscores the fact that the best action movies are those where the action is minimum, powerful and necessary. The locations are offbeat and stunning (the use of icy locations which gives the movie a dull, bluesy tint a la Bourne Identity) and the score by The Chemical Brothers is a masterclass (with fairytale themes colliding against an abrasive techno sound).
Smashing thriler.
