Review of Hanna (2011) by Jen R — 18 Aug 2012
Clever premise, disappointing finish. Great build-up with very little payoff, plotwise. Your thinking, "all that running, and for what?" Would love to see what would have happened if they gave the script another once-over and fixed the 4th-quarter letdown.
For great movies that deliver a major emotional payoff for lots of running - see "Run Lola Run," as well as the Iranian movie Children of Heaven, also known as "That delightful Iranian movie about a pair of shoes," and, of course Peter Weir's Gallipoli.
