Review of Hanna (2011) by Peter N — 16 Oct 2012
What a strange film. I don't mean that in a bad way, but its unique stylishness does have the ability to distract every once in awhile. The action is well choreographed, and Cate Blanchett expertly plays a menacing villain.
Much more so here than in the travesty that was Indy 4. The story contains some complexity without being overly confusing, which is a necessity for any spy/revenge hybrid that comes our way. It gets bogged down by some of its slower moments and as a whole, films like these really aren't catered toward moviegoers such as myself, but it's at least worth checking out.
