Review of Hanna (2011) by Joshua K — 11 Nov 2012
Not like a typical assassin, action suspense movie you'd expect where a child super soldier is the protagonist. But the refreshing take stinks. The movie's attempt to capture any real emotion falls flat and you can feel the effort they put in and how it just doesn't work.
Hanna feels like 2 movies. A short movie that plays as you would expect and a long middle and second half more resembling a journey kind of movie. The "bad" guys are complete morons who are as uninteresting as whatever is supposed to happen to Hanna.
The final line of the movie will leave you gritting your teeth and wondering why this movie didn't go straight to TV.
