The only thing that saves this film and elevates above average are the performances. Saoirse Ronan is excellent and is equalled by Cate Blanchett. Otherwise it's murder mayhem film with enough gore and blood to keep any teen age boy happy for two hours.
The technical aspects don't stand up to the performances and the screenplay has more holes in it than a piece of Swiss cheese.
