Review of Hanna (2011) by Tvjerry — 13 Apr 2011
A teenage girl (Saoirse Ronan) has been trained by her deep-cover-agent father to be a super soldier. She spends most of the movie running from bad guys (including Cate Blanchett with an indeterminable accent).
There are some amusing moments, but most of the movie is about overlit or edgy locations, choppy editing and a cool techno soundtrack. The narrative holds lots of promise, but once it unfolds, it's a letdown.
Overall, it's all about style over substance.
